Stranded in a Lake

In the morning, at around 8:00, my family went canoeing and kayaking in the backyard. The water was very calm, and still. While we were boating, my dad went to go fishing with the marshmallows. Still..no luck -__-
Our family friend came to join us too. In the afternoon, we had a Easter egg hunt because we are leaving on Easter. But since I was the oldest kid there, I let the younger kids have the fun and search for the eggs. I only "found" 11 eggs. Around 5:00, I went canoeing with my family friend, that is 9 years old. We were all by ourselves. The wind started to pick up, so the current started to get stronger . All of a sudden, the water pushed us  really far into the lake, than we expected. We kept paddling and paddling, we soon got closer to the house. We were soo close!! But, the tide forced us to the different direction. The girl that i was with, started panicking and stopped paddling. It was very complex to paddle and calm her down. I tried my best and used all my strength. After wailing for help, and paddling, my uncle came to help us. We ended up on the other side of the lake and took an hour to get across. My arms are soo sore. :'(
Sorry, no pictures for today.....I was stranded in the lake.............................vojgoirgjiordhgivj

First day in ze Poke a Nose

I am currently in the Poconos; we arrived here around 12 pm. The house that we are staying at is very comfortable and beautiful. Our view of the backyard is a blue, calm lake. Today was basically a "try and test" day. My dad went fishing with floaters that he brought from home. But, he had the idea of using marshmallows as bait. I somewhat helped him, but mostly watched him fail at his theory and skipped rocks. My dad left the fishing pole with the marshmallow for a few hours, and when we checked the marshmallow vanished. We weren't sure if the marshmallow dissolved from leaving it for several hours or if it was actaully devoured. So, we conducted a little experiment. Our hypothesis was that if the marshmallow remains in the water for 3 hours, then the fish ate it. We placed the marshamllow into a cup of water, 2 hours passed and it is looking like the fish ate it. Hopefully, tomorrow we will find a fish, especially when the weather will be much warmer.
At around 9:00 pm, after dinner we went outside to have a bonfire. My uncle and dad struggled to start a fire without chemicals and refused to use it. The fire was faint, and wasn't large enough to roast marshmallows. 45 minutes later, they finally got a fire and we roasted marshmallows. hehe I accidentally burnt mine...ooops
Well..that is it for today, and I will update you tomorrow. Here are some pictures that I took today. XDD
