i have a muscles practical in 30 minutes hehefhiosdfk..shhh.... I'm going to take this time to distress and relax and update everyone on my life so far! :))
So if you read Jackie's post on her adventure in Montclair back in December, then you already know that I transferred out of Montclair to Brookdale to pursue my nursing career! :D
Long live all the great memories I made in Montclair! I was so fortunate to have such perfect and sweet roommates/suitemates! <3 Thanks for the colllege experienceee, Montclair. lolol
HAHA, AS I WAS PACKING EVERYTHING UP, I WAS LIKE EH THIS IS EASY. I DIDN'T EVEN BRING THAT MUCH STUFF. BUT, TURNED OUT I HAD A LOT!! JACKIE, GABE, AND MY DAD ALL HELPED TO PACK EVERYTHING IN THE CAR, AND WE WERE JUST CRAMMED IN THE CAR FOR 45 MINUTES WITH ALL MY JUNKKK...(hehe i'm sorry jackie and gabe. Imma dumbfart and thought i only had to bring back clothes and binders..but uhhh i was clearly wrong HAHHA)
hehe, i left little notes around the room for Jenna and Jenny before I left, so when they got back from winter break, they would see them. XD hehe, and they loved all the messages! :) hehe, even jackie wrote them a little message too hehehehe
Deciding to transfer out of Montclair was a big decision for me because it made me question if this was the right decision, and if I really wanted to become a nurse. After a lot of researching, contemplating, and talking to other nurses, I still wanted to be a nurse and felt it was right for me.
It was really sad leaving Montclair, but I'm also really happy that I did. XD
Mkayy, fast forward to January 23,
THE BEGINNING OF MY NURSING JOURNEY!!...lol actually I was planning to share with you my nursing journey once its complete..but then i realized...that's going to take like YEARSSS...and besides it's better to take you guys along with me on this amazing journey anyways! so here we go....MY FIRST SEMESTER!!
my first day!! (ignore my pathetic looking pb sandwich!) I had a night class, so this was my afternoon snack ahaha.
I was actually shocked that I managed to find my way around the building on my first day :)
haha...but the next day...oh man..i got supahh lost...the snapchat caption says it all.
I was texting Bre the whole time on how to get to the different buildings, and she had to send me a map too. BUT IMMA DUMBFART AND DID'T UNDERSTAND IT. -_- so i spent like an hour trying to get to the stupid cafeteria when it literally could have been a 5 minute walk -_-
MY BRAIN LITERALLY EXPLODED WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT MOST OF THE BUILDINGS WERE CONNECTED!!

lol, Bre and I usually have lunch together whenever we can, and it's so nice to just catch up and rant about life. LOLOL.
Brookdale hosts a lot of events and clubs and stuff to give us that "collegeee lifeee" lol
since this was the first week of the semester, Brookdale was giving out free playa bowl acai bowls!!! BUTTT, WE NEEDED TO SHOW OUR BROOKDALE ID, and I didn't have one yet....so Bre and I had to share, which was finee cuz both of us weren't even that hungry heheosfdk
yum yum. we had a brain freezee after thisss XD it was worth it though XD

I actually love commuting because I get to spend more time with my family and cuddle with my little tofu baby! hehehe
lol here's me getting lost again....even with the connecting buildings...
It was confusing in the beginning because I couldn't find the entrance to the next building and I kept forgetting what building I was currently in.
I GOT IT NOW THOUGH...HAHA

man..throwback to when my anatomy and physiology labs were this easy.
OH GUYS I NEED TO TELL YOU A STORY!!
so I sat next to this dude, in my medical terminology class, and in the 3rd week of class, he started talking to and we ended up exchanging numbers because he said he would tell me some tips on the anatomy and physiology practical i had the next day and what to expect in the TEAS test.
so he called me up after that class, AND BRUH. HE SPENT THE WHOLE HOUR TALKING TO ME ABOUT HIS LIFE, AND WAS TRYING TO GET TO KNOW MINE. AND LITERALLY GAVE ME ONE TIP FOR THE PRACTICAL, WHICH WAS MAKE TO SURE TO KNOW FIBROCARTILAGE.
AND IM LIKE WELL NO KIDDING. THAT'S THE ONLY ONE THAT'S BLUE ugh.
anyways, he was basically flirting with me...oh he's also 30 years old. HGROUSGFJ
I WANNA BARFF.
i've kept my distance from him though...ugh.
let me tell youuu, THERE'S A FRIGGEN WAITLIST IN ALMOST EVERY NURSING SCHOOOLLL and there's like a billlionnn things you need to do in order to get in the program. -_-
One of the first few things is to pass the nursing entrance exams, called TEAS, which tests you on reading, grammar, math, and science. I studied a lot for this test because the higher the score, the sooner you'll get into the program. It definitely paid off though!! I was just a few points off from advanced -_-, but WHEEE I STILL DID REALLY WELL AND MY MOM REWARDED ME WITH BUBBLE TEAA!! :)) AND I WENT OUT FOR DINNER WITH MY AUNT AND UNCLE TO CELEBRATEEE XDD
haha, if this is how my family celebrates from me passing the entrance exam, just wait till i get into the program....or when i become a nurse. HAHHAHAAH...i'll get triple the bubble teasss LOLOLOL
speaking of bubble tea...lolol jackie made a bubble tea waffle and I'm reallly curious on how it tastes

ooh guys, i'm taking a 2 week class over the summer that allows me to work in a senior citizen home and take care of people. hehehe i'm pretty excited XD.
UGHHH. so for anatomy and physiology, i have to study a billion different body parts and the lab is the best way to study because you get to see the parts in person. BUT I DECIDED TO VISIT THE LAB AT 1:30 ON A FRIDAY and i was just like ArE YOuuuUU KiDiNGG MEEEE?? lol rip
heh so one of the tips I've heard in mastering anatomy and physiology is to get a lab buddy. HAHA SO I BROUGHT MY MOM. HAHAH....i don't think that's what they meant butttt uhhh my momm is mah buddy for lifeeee soooo. HAHAH
It's not just knowing what the bone is, it's knowing the TINY LITTLE DENTS AND HOLES IN THE BONEEE. lololdklgrdkg ^^THAT'S A FIBULA NOTCH ON A TIBIA BONE -_-
I complain about how many things I have to study for every time I have a practical coming up because it is a bit overwhelming, especially when I have other tests to study for.
But even though I complain, I actually enjoy memorizing all the parts. lol it's quite fun...especially when I bring my mom lol (hahaha i need friends :( ) XD
MARCH 28TH
As I mentioned earlier, there are quite a few steps to get into the nursing program. So after passing the TEAs test, I was invited to the nursing info session. Then after the info session, my name will officially be on the waiting list. jHFIOSUJFNK
Hopefullyyyy, I'll be in the nursing program by next year!! :)) *fingers crossed*
I know it's a long process getting into the nursing program, and that being waitlisted is nothing until I get into the program. But it's actually wild and exciting to me. Back when I was in Montclair, I was stressing out about nursing programs in different schools, and how it'll take me forever to get on the waitlist because every school has so many requirements. 4 months later, and here i am now!! Being on the waitlist is one step closer to pursuing my career. :))) YAYYAYAY!!

IT'S APRIL FOOLS!! Somehow every year, jackie and i try to prank each other. honestly, i dont even know how we keep falling for each other's pranks...like we should have seen it coming....LOLOL

HAHA THIS IDEA LITERALLY CAME OUT OF NOWHERE. After I got out of the shower, I was like wow my hair kinda looks black. AND BOOM, my ingenious idea of this prank came to life. LOL. Ashleigh's fam wants me to dye my hair back to black so badly...so i thought this was the perfect opportunity! hehe

Lol, I talked to Jackie the other day and we realized how both of us used school as a prank and that our pranks were really practical and realistic, so it made it hard for us to realize it was a joke. LOL...BUT THAT IS HOW A TRUE PRANKSTER PRANKS. SOOOOO BWAHAHA. NO MATTER HOW HOW FAR AWAY WE ARE, NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP US FROM PRANKING EACH OTHER ON APRIL FOOLS. hehe
haha, that just reminded me how when I was in china 2 years ago, I tried to prank nicole and jackie a few times. I told them that our luggage got lost or something like that..but they didn't fall for it. :( That's besides the point though....WE COULD BE ACROSS THE GLOBE FROM EACH OTHER, AND WE WILLL STILL FIND A WAYYY.

OOHH WHILE I WAS STUDYING FOR THIS PRACTICAL, I WAS TALKING TO MY CLASSMATE WHO WAS STUDYING AT THE SAME TABLE AS MEEE. AND SHE GRADUATED FROM MONTCLAIRRR!! ahaha i was like AYOOO. :DD
WHEE, and that's basically it so far in my nursing journey. I'm officially waitlisted and going to care for elderlies in June. :) This semester, I'm only taking my nursing prerequisites because I'm not in the program yet, but I like my classes so far and find them really interesting. XDD
Transferring to Brookdale was one of the best decisions I've made and I'm a lot happier getting to be back home every day.
especially because i get to see these dinguses XDD
