I LOVE HOW EVERYONE IS CELEBRATING MY BIRTHDAY AS IF IT'S NEW YEARS. OMG I LOVE MY FRIENDS SO MUCH HAHAH
yeah, it's 12:20am now and i just had the urge to blog about this first before i talk about the rest of my birthday celebration because those text messages literally made my day lol!! <3
BUT BEFOREEEE 6262626..so more like 6/22...I had a chubby birthday picnic with my family, ashleigh's family, and jackieeeee. XDDD
lol, so the day before the picnic, my mom sent me to the farmer's market..ALONE to grab some veggies for the picnic. Before I left the house, my mom was like ZUCCHINIS AND CUCUMBERS OKAY? YOU KNOW WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE RIGHT?! and i answered like the know-it-all-teenager I can sometimes be, and answered back like YES MOTHERS. I KNOW WHAT A FRIGGEN ZUCCHINI AND CUCUMBER LOOK LIKE....
welp.... i ended up coming back home with 2 different types of cucumbers...LOL AND NO ZUCCHINI
and so the next day (the day of the picnic), she sent me there AGAIN to get zucchinis and i circled around the store twice and i couldn't find the zucchinis...AND THEN I WAS LIKE WAIT. THESE LOOK LIKE ZUCCHINIS. WHY DA HECK ARE THEY LABELED "GREEN SQUASH" so i facetimed my mom and she was like yep yep that one.
SO IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT THE FARMER'S MARKET LABELED A ZUCCHINI A GREEN SQUASH. LIKE NO ONE CALLS A ZUCCHINI A GREEN SQUASH.
*sigh* I guess i didn't know what a zucchini looked like after all LOLOL

PICNIC TIME AT HOLMDEL PARK!!
LOOK AT ALL THIS DELICIOUS FOOD!! my mom made vegetarian sushi, summer rolls, and pasta! My mom made so much food :OO
After we finished eating, Maisy brought out this beautifulll vegan banana bread with chocolate chips in it!! :O AND AS WE WERE ALL ADMIRING ITS BEAUTY, SOME PARK RANGER RUDELY WALKED IN AND KICKED US OUT OF THE TABLE WE WERE SITTING AT BECAUSE THAT AREA IS A RESERVED AREA AND HE WAS YELLING AT US BECAUSE WE APOLOGIZED FOR NOT SEEING THE SIGN. *eyeroll*
and while this was happening, we were listening to "You Need To Calm Down" and i was like DUDE. JUST LISTEN TO TAYLOR AND CALM YOURSELF MAN.
And the other park ranger was more friendly and playing with tofu LOLOL.
Luckily, we brought our own tent with chairs so we continued our picnic in peace and ate our very delicious bananana bread that Maisy made :)) It was really gooooooodddd :O
Also, Ashleigh and Christine sleeping next to each other is super chubbyy heheh

my dad was talking about how touching earth's natural ground such as soil, sand, rocks, etc., is really good for you and helps you connect to earth. It also helps to reduce the electromagnetic stuff in your body..so here's christine trying grounding out!...although i'm not sure how it works if she's on a bamboo mat lol
Tristan and my dad tried out grounding while badminton but then tristan saw deer poop and put his shoes back on lol

lol funny story: so my family and I went to Holmdel park 2 weeks in a row before this picnic , and each time we went, WE GOT LOST. And last week, we got LOST IN THE RAIN! haha it was soo fun!! WE DIDN'T GET LOST THIS TIME THOUGH!! :D
BUT WE DID END UP AT A DEAD END. HAHAH AND TRISTAN JUMPED OVER A LITTLE STREAM TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANOTHER PATH...there wasn't :( But he got mud all over his boots so we found a pipe waterfall thing and he washed his shoes from there XD

Flash forward to after dinner
It's been sort of a new tradition to surprise each other on our birthdays, and each time is very different an in a way unexpected lol. This was how Ashleigh was trying to ask my mom how she wanted to distract me in large print because my mom desperately needs reading glasses!! lol
Lol, so as Ashleigh, Maisy, and Tristan distracted me upstairs by making me give them a plant tour in my room for the 626th time, our parents were preparing to surprise me with a chubbalicious cake! And so when they were ready they were calling us, and then THEY FORGOT TO LIGHT UP THE CANDLES, so maisy and ashleigh were pushing me back towards the living room lol. Yeah, watch my reaction below even though my voice is so annoying. XD
lol...i sorta knew it was a surprise because when we got back home from the picnic, i put our leftovers back in the fridge..and i saw the cake. HAHAH. and when my mom wasn't ready and maisy and ashleigh pushed me back into the living room, i sorta had that feeling that it was caketime. LOLL
BUT I APPRECIATE ALL DA HARD WORK THAT WAS PUT INTO THIS....I sorta spoiled it for myself whoops. I WAS TRYING TO PREVENT OUR LEFTOVERS FROM SPOILING HEREE loolll

When we were planning the picnic party, I told my mom if we are a getting a birthday cake for me, i either want it to be a vegan cake or one from paris baguette. And so, the day before the picnic, I was like mommmyy aren't we going to get the vegan cake? and my mom was like "no. We're not getting a cake. why do we need a cake for blah blah blah"
Lol, now that I'm blogging this...maybe it was a bit obvious that my mom was hiding something, but I didn't think anything of it because i also said I wanted this party to be super laid back. LOL

Tuesday, June 25th
My neighbors are sooo sweettt!! Ever since we met them, my whole family has been obsessed over Indian food lol. There was one restaurant that we always went to together and the waiter was so friendly and already knew our order because of how many times we go there lol. But sadlyyyy, they closed down and WE LOST OUR FAVORITE WAITER!! :(
but our neighbor, Leyton, FOUND THEM!! SHE FOUND ALL THE WAITERS FROM THE PREVIOUS RESTAURANT, AND LEYTON SURPRISED US BY TAKING US TO THERE!

oh man...we ordered so much food! Some were our usual dishes, and some were new dishes that my family and I never tried! We ordered so much, we had so much leftovers, and we forgot to bring our own containers :( So we were trying to combine as much food into the plastic container as possible! NO FOOD WASTE MAN!! We packed all da food and even the free vegetable side dish ANDDD I MADE EVERYONE FINISH THEIR WATER.
..yeah leyton thought we were craazyyyyy but at least no food went to the garbage :))

Luckily, I noticed it and smudged it off before I left the house. James got a kiss too and HE DIDN'T KNOW haha, so he went out with his friends with a lipstick stain on his cheek. hahah

Ashleigh posted this on her story and i was like what.....another day of work? Ashleigh doesn't work...so i observed more of her comp sci coding stooff and then i saw "IT'S GRACES BIRTHDAYAYAYAY" and i was just liek DA HECK. WHAT KIND OF WORK IS THISS?! lolol
Ashleigh reminded her mom that it was my birthday right after she finished eating her breakfast and then offered to take me out for lunch. AND I SAIDDD WE CAN EAT OUT WHEN THEY GET HUNGRY. but they came like an hour or so after they ate, SO THEY WEREN'T HUNGRY AT ALLL. so to stall our stomachs and lose some of those calories, we went to Lowes to admire all their chubby plants and parked the farthest away from the restaurant. LOL. It was a really goodd and yummy lunch and ashleigh and her family are so kind!! Alsoooo, since I got to spend time with my family, Ashleigh and her mom, and Jackie (we met up for dinner which you'll see in the picture below lol), I facetimed Ashleigh to see the rest of her family, so that I would see all of my favorite people on my birthday!! :) My birthday is completeeee hehhehe
We always eat out when it's our birthday, and I try to choose a different restaurant every year. BUT I'M RUNNING OUT OF PLACES TO GO!! I already went to sichuan a few years ago...whoops, but it's still one of my favorites though.

my dad came in a few minutes later to get the cake out of the car and when he came in, he was talking to the waiter. ALSO, i was literally facing the door...and my mom was trying to distract me and i was trying to contain my laugher cuz lol...the plan failed LOL
BUTTT, i thought it was another Paris Baguette cake, so my mom did surprise me with a Lady M cake XDD

Then on Thursday, the day after my birthday, my cousins called to wish me a happy birthday, and somehow it ended up to them coming over to my house like an hour later. ..and staying over for 2 days LOL
ok funny story: so when my mom got home from work, i told her that my grandpa didn't wish me a happy birthday yesterday. And so my mom was like WHAT?! UNACCEPTABLEEE and so she called him. GUYS MY GRANDPA IS SOO CUTE!
he was like "oohhhh i realized this morning, but there was no point because her birthday is over. so sorry! happy birthday! Go out for dinner and I'll pay your aunt back whatever the cost of the dinner is"
and my mom was like mkayy we're going to go a very expensive restaurant since you're treating, dad
and my grandpa was like "ooh no problem. even if it's $50 a pound for crab, I'll still pay!!!"
soo my mom was like MKAY LET'S GO GET SUSHI. I WANNA GET MY CRAB. and soo here we are at mizu!..again..because Ashleigh and her mom treated me out on my birthday at mizu lol

IT'S MY DADDY'S BIRTHDAY!! :DDD <333 HEHE, remember that Lady M cake my mom surprised me with for my bday? Well, my mom bought it for my dad and I, so here's the like 4 thinly sliced little pieces of the cake. *sighhh* Now we just have to wait till mommy's birthday until the next Lady M cake. LOLOL

Does anyone remember the episode in Victorious when Trina thought that one day wasn't enough to celebrate her birthday, so she made her birthday into a birthweek? I honestly felt like this whole week has been my birthweek. LOL
I always feel so special on my birthday because of how many birthday wishes i get from my family and friends. But this year, I've literally received nothing but endless amount of love throughout this whole week leading up to my birthday and even after, and i just feel so grateful and blessed.
It's actually a bit ironic because every year, I get so excited for my birthday and countdown for it, that i feel like even I go all out for my birthday.
Maybe I'm getting older or I just became way too relaxed/chill, but I didn't hype up my birthday this year and make it such a big deal. BUT ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY DID! I literally celebrated my birthday this whole week and ATE OUT AT RESTAURANTS EVERYDAY THIS WEEK. LIKE MY GOODNESSS. MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY ARE SPOILING ME AND MAKING ME FAT LOL
The one year where I'm the most chill about my birthday, my loved ones ARE NOT CALM.
THEY'RE ALL LIKKEE WHOO BIRTHDAY! LET'S PARTY! YAY! haha
Jackie and I plan to write about 20 things we've learned before turning 20 (just like how taylor did it for Elle magazine before turning 30 XD), but the one thing I learned/noticed especially from turning 19 is that I'm surrounded by so many caring, fun, charismatic, and loving people that make me the happiest and luckiest girl in the world. :) It's those special moments you have with them when you notice how much they support you, care for you, encourage you, and love you in the best and worst of times, or when you're least expecting it that you realize that these are the people you want to hold onto forever. :)
SO THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO WISHED ME A HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND MAKING ME FEEL SO SPECIAL!
